Making rubber washers using inner tube

You need to connect a garden hose or a washing machine to a faucet but you don’t have any rubber washers left? You may go to the hardware store to buy some (those things cost nearly nothing) but you have to take the car and go out.

Or you can make a few yourself using (again) inner tubes.

DIY sheath made with inner tube

I have a Leatherman’s juice CS4 multi-tool (http://www.leatherman.com/product/Juice_Cs4). I received it from my brother in-law around Christmas 2003. I love it. I carry it around the house all the time and it saves me at least 2-3 trips daily to the garage for tools.

However, it originally came with a synthetic leather sheath that is now in a state of advanced decrepitude.
